Painted by Yindjibarndi (Pilbara Region) elder Judith Coppin, artwork ‘Waterholes’ was applied to FMS tooling containers in both CQ and WA to recognise the traditional owners of the land on which we work.
The theme for 2023 NAIDOC Week is ‘For Our Elders’, recognising the important role Elders have played across every generation in our communities.
FMS Group were happy to showcase an Indigenous Elder’s artwork on our work sites to acknowledge this year’s NAIDOC theme.
Thanks to the Juluwarlu Art Group for their assistance in this project and Fierce Creative for creating and installing the artwork panels.
Other NAIDOC Week activities carried out by FMS Group included a staff BBQ and an Indigenous Dot Painting Workshop held over Zoom, guided by an Alice Springs artist from Welcome To Country.
