Where We Work

Since its establishment in 2005, Field Mining Services Group has diversified from the coal mines of Central Queensland to include the gold, iron ore, nickel and specialty metal mines of Western Australia and PNG.

Working on a variety of client sites across these three areas, our team has grown from about 50 staff to now 400, with continued growth predicted. Our team of experienced tradespeople deliver expert services across our Field, Projects, Diesel, Workshop, Electrical and Machining Divisions in Australia and Australasia.

In 15 years, FMS Group has achieved outstanding results including:

  • 50+ mine sites

We select our people with great care and we provide them with everything they need to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Our people possess exceptional site-specific knowledge and skills, and they’re renowned for their responsiveness and work ethic.

Scott McDermott, COO, PNG Field Mining Services

The success of each shutdown can be largely attributed to the engagement of CQFMS management with ourselves and their personnel, the safety culture within the CQFMS crews, and the quality of their tradespeople. CQFMS has been consistent in their approach regarding safety, schedule, costs and quality. They have partnered with me on each shutdown to achieve the best possible outcome.

Andrew Bayshaw, Superintendent of Project Execution, Infrastructure & Asset Management, BHP BMA

Responsiveness is critical in the business of delivering skilled trades to our site. We need the right people, with the right skills, at the right time. WAFMS is always highly responsive and they consistently deliver on their commitments to us when it’s needed most.
